AlreadyInspired.com joins Blog Flip Challenge on StandOutBlogger.com

Australian based Thomas Sinfield from StandOutBlogger.com has initiated a Blog Flip Challenge with 20 fellow bloggers. This basically means he has extended an invite to other bloggers to join him on a six months collaborative exercise where each blogger avails their own separate blog for reselling.

This will mean each blogger will be using their current stagnant blog or creating a new blog just for the challenge. Once such a blog as been brought to live and making an income, after six months it can be sold or not depending on the owner.

This challenge will be going through phases and using each other for guidance and help in achieving our goals. We already have a Google Group through which we communicate amongst ourselves. As far as I’m concerned, I’m the only African based blogger to be part of the group.

I’ve resolved to join the challenge with my stagnant profiling blog AlreadyInspired.com.

DIFFERENT NICHE

I intend on changing the current focus of profiling South African entrepreneurs into profiling bloggers from across the world.

In order to feature quality bloggers, I have to set a benchmark on the type of bloggers who qualify to be featured. They’ll need to be generating $50 per month or more through blogging.

The motivation around profiling bloggers is because as a blogger myself, I know I always welcome opportunities to be featured on other blogs (which results in new traffic for my blog). This I see as an opportunity to have a constant supply of new content, without having to struggle generating fresh content.

WAY FORWARD
I’ll be adding a page with the set of questions which interested bloggers will have to complete in order to be featured. I’ll also be adding various call to action banners promoting the ‘get featured’ page across the blog.

SOCIAL MEDIA
I’ll focus more on facebook and twitter to get bloggers to feature and new traffic into the blog.

MONETIZATION
I’m be using Google Adsense and various affiliate marketing programs targeting bloggers.

WORDPRESS THEME UPDATE
I’ll be updating the current theme into WooThemes.com ‘Busy Bee’ theme and tweaking it for a unique look and feel.

MY SELLING POINT
I’ll be putting in a special focus on the bloggers workstation. All featured bloggers will be required to send through photographs of their workstation. This is intended on showcasing the working environment at which bloggers operate within.

FLIPPING OR NOT
For now, I don’t foresee myself selling after the six months challenge unless convinced otherwise with time.

Great to see your goals for the challenge. I especially like the idea of bloggers workstations, as I always love looking at stuff like that on Flippa! I also think the Busy Bee theme will look great – I love WooThemes!

    Hey, Muzi:

What’s happening? Glad to see the wheels in motion. I can’t rave enough about Busy Bee or the Woo guys. I love their work!

I own a copy of Busy Bee (and Fresh News) and use them both on alot of my flips. They’re my favorite wp themes.

Are you pimping out Busy Bee yourself, or hiring an outsider?

I applaud your initiative Tom, of getting a group of bloggers into working together to help each other. I’m looking forward to featuring all group members into the new look AlreadyInspired.com once it’s ready for a new start.
