Interview with Pradeep Kumar, HellBoundBloggers.com founder
Posted on 09. Dec, 2009 by Mohale Muzi in The Interview
Briefly introduce yourself, age and where are you based?
This is S.Pradeep Kumar , a simple and sensitive 18 year lad from India. I’m a big dreamer and an entrepreneur.
You’ve only been blogging since February, tell us about your blog and what inspired it?
I experienced the art of blogging before February also. After launching HellBound Bloggers , I took blogging seriously. I was not inspired by anyone. The case is entirely different. I created my first blog to impress others and later it became my passion. Before blogging what were you doing?
I was just 16-17 years old then. So probably studying in school! ![]()
You’re a computer science student, how many hours per day do you spend on your blog outside your studies?
It depends mate. I’m doing engineering degree and it is quite difficult to manage my blog. In order to manage, I enabled Guest Blogging feature and it is working fine for my blog. I spend almost 10-15 hours for my blog (average).
Between the Google link unit above each headline and the banner below it, which generates most clicks?
The banner below the headline. Currently I’m doing experiments with ad locations, so I’m keeping everywhere possible! ![]()
Why have you selected not to include your rates on advertise page?
Well, it is still under construction! I thought of replacing it with BuySellAds , but I don’t want to do that for specific reasons. Also I don’t want to scare away the advertisers by mentioning the prices!
What is your content generation strategy and do you keep to it?
I love to write creative and unique articles with clickable headlines. My blog’s content generation strategy is quite simple. I use a notebook, a pen, and a phone (for hearing music)!
Then I’ll start to write articles which interests me and which has state-of-the-art topics.
Since blogging, what is the biggest mistake you’ve ever made and what did you learn from it?
When I switched from Blogspot platform to WordPress (self-hosted) platform. I didn’t care about broken links, SEO, and traffic. At that time I was simple budding blogger. I learned many things from it. We are responsible for what we are!
How do you generate traffic for your blog?
Commenting on other blogs, Social Media (Twitter + Facebook), Guest Blogging, Forums, Yahoo! Answers, and the list goes on.
Is your blog authored by yourself only or multiple bloggers and why?
I’m the only author behind it. I have also enabled Guest Blogging feature, so I have some contributors. I would rather call it a team.
Given an opportunity to sell your blog now, what would you charge for it?
Will charge as high as possible. Because I want him/her to scare off and run away. I don’t want to lose my blog, under any circumstances.
What is your opinion on domain name and blog flipping, do you participate in that space?
Not yet. But I love them. To be frank, I’m learning “behind the scenes” of domain flipping. Will jump to that field soon.
Within the next 12 months, what are your goals for the blog?
Oops. That will be a long list buddy. I want my blog’s Alexa Rank under 15K, PR 5, and so on.
What have been the highlight(s) in your blogging career?
I was approached by many people for paid/sponsored reviews. Golden moments.
Tell us about your workstation, is it within your bedroom/dedicated home-office/office park?
Using a PC that forces me to hit it with a hammer. Well this is only for the hardware part. I can only curse the software part!
But still it is my hardcore blogging machine.
What gadget or software makes your blogging a pleasure?
My Motorola multimedia phone. I usually hear music from it and blog. It will be a pleasure.
Blogging is a lonely profession, how do you keep yourself motivated?
My readers motivate me. They are indeed helping me to achieve my blog’s goals. Thanks a lot buddies!

I’m looking for an Indian based soccer blogger to generate content for my soccer blog http://www.soccerwires.com. The blog is focused on the business of soccer and not the game itself. Building up to the world cup next year, I’m looking for a blogger to blog about the various sponsors, from technical sponsors of each team, FIFA sponsors etc….MTN (which failed their Bharti partnership is the cellular sponsor)… we shall agree on terms with interested blogger.

Solid advise Ajith about education…how I’m so inspired though to see that blogging is taken so seriously by youngsters in India…this is far better than South African youths who are more concerned about getting drunk on their spare time.
Teenage pregnancy is a serious worry here.

Nice interview man
I didn’t know that you are 18, thought it’s early 20s or so…
Btw, don’t get too much carried away with blogging while studying. I am seeing this Make-money-fast trend with students. The online income can stop anytime – probably from the point when Google stops sending you traffic – where as a good degree probably will be valid life long.
Good luck in your studies (and blogging)
